Snoop Dogg uses Bill Cosby as a political exemplar in his case against Carolyn Bryant Donham, the 83-year old woman involved in Emmett Till's 1955 murder.

Snoop Dogg's response to the Bill Cosby verdict was swift and to the point. On the grounds that Bill Cosby will be entering his jail sentence at the age of 80 years old, Snoop wants to see the Emmitt Till case reexplored, considering one of the suspected culprits is still alive at the age of 83.

The brutal murder of Emmett Till is a dark moment in the history of racial persecution in the United States. Following his death in 1955, 14-year old Till became a posthumous icon in the civil rights movement, while the woman linked to the incident who some deem an accessory to the crime was never criminally charged but remains alive and well at the age 83.

Snoop Dogg believes like many others that she was complicit in the murder, carried out by two other men in 1955. The incident is still a triggering issue for Americans, and with good reason, it remains so. Snoop Dogg's Instagram post doesn't exonerate Cosby of his sex crimes, but it does draw attention to an issue many Americans have tried to move away from, for different reasons altogether.

The woman, Carolyn Bryant Donham, admitted in 2017 that the claim (tied to Jim Crow laws) which led to Emmitt's murder were made under false pretenses. Snoop Dogg's belief is that since Cosby can be sentenced as 80+ year old, so can Carolyn Bryant.
