O.J. Simpson offers his take on the Bill Cosby prison situation.

O.J. Simpson was unintentionally ironic in his parlance with TMZ this morning. When asked to weigh in on the Bill Cosby sentencing, he admitted that he hadn't kept up to speed with the court proceedings, but none the less restated his belief in the system no matter what the ruling. "You always go to honor the jury verdict," he stated. He worries for Cosby's safety, reason being: rapists are frowned upon in prison." Those were his own words, I might add.

Simpson says Cosby has another thing coming his way in prison unless he is placed in protective custody. While Simpson expertly avoided jail time for the presumed murder of his ex-wife and her friend Ron Goldman, he did eventually see jail-time for a kidnapping charge, which at one time posed a possible life sentence (which he evaded). Simpson was granted parole in July of 2017 and hasn't seen a jail cell ever since -- knock on wood.

Simpson was able to impress upon a few key points in his TMZ interview. "All it takes is one nut" to run amok with the idea of persecuting Cosby, a known sex offender, Simpson he forewarned. He also expressed of compassion to any warden tasked with keeping Bill Cosby alive during his jail sentence, giving the precarious nature of his charges. Cosby will be held at SCI Phoenix in Collegeville, Pennsylvania.
