This week it was revealed that the DC Universe will be debuting its long-awaited streaming service on September 15, not-so-coincidentally the same day that marks “Batman Day.”
The new service will be a free offering for the first three months for those who pre-order an annual membership which will come out to $74.99 a year. Otherwise, users can opt for a monthly bid at $7.99.
In an announcing this news, DC universe also unveiled that their first original live-action series Titans, which “follows young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find belonging in a gritty take on the classic Teen Titans franchise,” will arrive to the service on October 12th.
In addition to Titans, aficionados can also look forward to original content in the form of a Harley Quinn animated series and the third season of Young Justice: Outsiders, currently on Cartoon Network.
At the moment, other live-action series, Doom Patrol and Swamp Things are expected to arrive in 2019 with executive producer James Wan at the helm.
While DC Universe will be available to stream by way of iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, and in both web and mobile platforms, subscribers will also gain access to read a regularly updated backlog of DC comics and stream classic DC movies and television shows.
