Singer Beyonce and hip-hop artists Jay Z and Drake attend the 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards at STAPLES Center on February 10, 2013 in Los Angeles, California.

Jay was feeling some type of way when he wrote this verse.

Drake's highly anticipated double disc album Scorpion has finally arrived, and it's going to take a few days to sort through all the hidden gems on this project. The massive album is packed with enough metaphors and entendres to keep a hip-hop head preoccupied. One of the stand out tracks on the album, "Talk Up," features Jay-Z, who comes onto the record rapping like a villain.

"Yo, get close enough to HOV, smell like a kilo still/ First album 26, I ain't need no deal/ Already a hood legend, I ain't need no shine/ First Rollie flooded out, I ain't see no time," spits Jay menacingly over the DJ Paul production. As the verse continues, HOV lays his usual braggadocious bars down with ease, but the ending of his verse hits the hardest. "I'm what Supreme didn't become/ If Alpo didn't snitch, niggas'll be like Young," starts HOV, referencing two of the most notorious New York drug lords of all time. He then ends with a dagger. "I got your president tweetin', I won't even meet with him/ Y'all killed X, let Zimmerman live, streets is done." XXXTentacion was shot and killed a week ago, which means HOV must have laid down this verse in the past few days. Jay using his platform and paying his respects to X on Drake's album is just another reason why he's the G.O.A.T.
