While the majority of 2 Chainz' new album B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time is focused on bangers and hilarious punchlines, the last third of the record becomes more introspective. On the bonus track "Live and Learn (It Will)," the rapper actually opens up about the effect his father's passing had on him. 2 Chainz further elaborated on his relationship with his father in a recent interview with FUSE.

"Father/son relationships, it’s a lot of masculinity. You’re taught to be strong." said Chainz. "You’re taught to fight back. You’re taught not to cry,” 2 Chainz explained. “It’s kind of like your first--I guess role model or something like that. Your father would be. And so for me, losing him I definitely lost somebody that I could trust, confide in, and communicate with about a lot of different things [when] talking to. Even that experience of losing him made me stronger. Music is therapeutic in a way that it keeps my mind off my father.”

The Atlanta emcee called "Live and Learn" the most personal song on the album, and revealed that recording the song was therapeutic.

"It Will Live And Learn,’ that’s the name of it. And it’s about my father,” he said. “He was my best friend. And he passed in front of me. And we just had a lot that we talked about. And a lot that we didn’t talk about. So, I kind of express that in the song."
