Mitch Winehouse, father to the late Amy Winehouse was not impressed by Andre 3000's performance on his cover of Amy's "Back To Black" with Beyonce.

There was much anticipation following the announcement that Beyonce and Andre 3000 would be covering the late Amy Winehouse's  definitive cut "Back To Black". The track finally premiered through Mark Ronson's East Village radio last week, and the initial reception was generally pretty favorable.

Ronson, who produced the original, as well as plenty of other hits from big names like Adele and Bruno Mars, had nothing but praise for the remake. "It’s a wonderful sort of take on our song. I’m flattered and honored. I know Amy would be too," he declared.

Amy's father, Mitch Winehouse, was a little less impressed by the tribute, particularly Andre's contribution. In a tweet lauched shortly after the radio premiere, Mitch called the duet "terrible", indicating that 'Dre "should have let Beyonce do it all."

Mitch has apparently been against the concept of such a remake from the beginning. The Daily Mail reported that the late songwriter's father felt Beyonce did not bring anything to the song upon hearing early versions of the cover, adding that "They have got to pay for the privilege, which is what they are doing. I can’t tell you how much it is but it’s a lot of money."
