Ben Affleck has been struggling with alcoholism for over a decade. The A-list movie star, producer, and director checked into rehab back in 2001 for alcohol abuse, and last year, he wrote a Facebook message praising his estranged wife Jennifer Garner for helping him through rehabilitation a second time. "I have completed treatment for alcohol addiction; something I’ve dealt with in the past will continue to confront," he wrote on the post a year ago. "I'm lucky to have the love of my family and friends, including my co-parent, Jen, who has supported me and cared for our kids as I've done the work I set out to do."
Now, according to TMZ, Affleck is heading back into rehab. Garner staged an intervention at Affleck's Pacific Palisades home Wednesday afternoon. Apparently, Affleck had fallen back into his old habits hard, but a new picture of him circulating the web is what led Garner to make her move. The pic shows a delivery man handing Affleck a box filled with beer and liquor, something a recovering alcoholic should not be getting delivered to him. Allegedly, Affleck was understanding during the intervention, and agreed that he needed to check himself back into rehab. The most recent Batman actor will be heading to a rehabilitation center in L.A. County.
