The Internet is sending new music our way soon.

The Internet’s fourth studio album Hive Mind is set to arrive on July 20th, but we won’t have to wait that long for new music, naturally. We previously got a taste of what the band has been cooking up with their “ROLL! (Burbank Funk)” track, and now they’ve unveiled plans to tease our palates further with a new cut set for arrival on Wednesday (May 30th).

Since the group’s return from a hiatus in which the spotlight fell on individual solo efforts, anticipation has been building for the new album. It will arrive as the latest in a series of studio outings that have contributed to consistent climb in The Internet’s status as its predecessor Ego Death marked the group’s first entry into the Billboard 200, peaking at No. 89 and even earned them their first Grammy nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album.

"If you Google what 'Hive Mind' means, it's basically just a collective ego, a collective mind, you know, when people are together they have a collective mindset and I think that when we're together we all have a common goal," group member Matt Martians revealed of the inspiration in a recent interview. "And the Internet is a hive mind of information, the actual Internet, so it kind of has multiple reasons […] I got it from Marvel Comics, so it's not really that deep. It like a group in the comic books that are like collective psychics that are super powerful when they're together.”
