Former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez killed himself in prison while his appeal was pending for a murder trial. Under state law, when a person dies while their appeal is still pending, their criminal proceedings must be erased. That means that Aaron Hernandez technically died an innocent man, since he was not given his due legal time in court to appeal. Since his murder conviction was dismissed, the Patriots have no reason not to reward his estate with the remainder of his salary. Hernandez's fiancee and baby's mom Shayanna Jenkins was reported to be the name on his estate.
Jenkins announced that she was pregnant just last week, and now the mother-to-be has revealed who the baby's father is. According to Radar Online, the child's father has been identified as 39-year-old Dino Guilmette. Guilmette played college football with Hernandez at the University of Florida. “We just hit it off from the beginning,” Guilmette told the website after explaining that the two met through mutual friends a year ago. “I’m going to have my hands full but I’m happy about it,” Guilmette stated. “I’m excited. It’s my daughter. She will have two sisters. I have another daughter from a previous relationship and then there’s Shayanna‘s daughter with Aaron. It’s very exciting.”
