"Curb Your Enthusiasm" Actor Bob Einstein Dead At 76

Some unfortunate news has struck the entertainment industry only two days into the new year. Bob Einstein, famous for his role on HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm, has died at the age of 76. Einstein passed away earlier today (Jan. 2nd) in Indian Wells, CA at the age of 76-years-old, Deadline reports. Einstein was reportedly diagnosed with cancer in recent times.

Einstein was widely known for his role Marty Funkhouser on David Larry's Curb Your Enthusiasm as well as Super Dave Osborne on Super Dave where he served as the show's executive producer, writer, and actor. Super Dave Osborne was a regular feature on the 1980's sketch comedy show Bizarre. The character landed Einstein a slot on Showtime from 1987-1991 for his own show, Super Dave. He also appeared on Roseanne, Anger Management and Norm. Additionally, he also had a reoccurring role on Arrested Development as Larry.

Einstein won two Emmys during his career. He won his first Emmy in 1969 as a writer on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. In 1977, he won his second Emmy as a producer and writer on Van Dyke And Company.

Bob Einstein's brother, Albert Brooks, took to Twitter to pay tribute to his late brother. "R.I.P. My dear brother Bob Einstein. A great brother, father and husband. A brilliantly funny man. You will be missed forever," he wrote on Twitter.
