Reynold's wants to explore his character.

Ryan Reynold's stopped down in San Diego for the annual Comic-Con festivities along with a long list of other celebrities this weekend. Although Deadpool 2 has already come and gone, it is almost DVD and Blu-ray season for the sequel film. Fans who were blessed enough to get into the Deadpool 2 presentation were gifted with a view of the extended cut of the film. According to Variety, the raunchier extender version features several more jokes, including a Wolverine cameo and a baby Hitler reference.

During the presentation, one attendee asked Reynold's about the representation of gay and bisexual characters in comic book films. Reynolds, who has been open about experimenting with Deadpool's sexuality in the past, revealed that he thinks he has the type of franchise that can tackle those issues. “I certainly think that this universe... needs to represent and reflect the world in very real ways,” he stated. “The great thing about Deadpool is that we’re allowed to do things that other superhero movies don’t necessarily do. It’s something that I’d love to see more of, certainly through Wade, certainly through this universe because it’s something that we’re building out more.” Deadpool 2 featured a gay relationship between Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Yukio.
