The rapper still faces a slew of legal charges.

Tay-K will remain in jail even though he won part of the legal issues he is currently facing. The small win does not have a substantial impact on his situation while he awaits trial for two capital murder charges.

On August 16, a court acknowledged the fact that the State District Judge Wayne Salvant had made a mistake when he refused to set a bail for Tay-K concerning his aggravated robbery case. Still, Texas' Second Court of Appeals upheld the judge's original decision to deny bail for his 2016 murder-robbery case involving the death of Ethan Walker. Ultimately, the acknowledgment of the mistake makes no difference to his predicament.

The rapper is being held in solitary confinement after being slapped with additional charges while in custody. A third-degree felony charge of possessing a prohibited item inside a correctional facility was added to his original legal issues.

Tay-K is also facing a $1 million wrongful death lawsuit. The family of 23-year-old Mark Saldivar is going after the entertainer's financial resources in addition to seeking justice through a potential imprisonment.

On the bright side, a guilty verdict would not result in the death penalty for the rapper since he was a minor at the time of the crime.
