The cast of "Breaking Bad" will reunite to shoot a special film for the popular TV series.

Just days after news of a The Walking Dead cashing in on its success by turning spinning the show (the main character is almost dead) into a brand new movie series, reports have now surfaced that Breaking Bad's creator Vince Gilligan is doing the same thing.

The people who made Breaking Bad have already dipped their toes in spinoff content (maybe jumping headfirst is a better way to put), with their Emmy-winning series Better Call Saul, set in the same universe as the original show but focussing on the lawyer of the original protagonist, Walter White.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new project will be two hours long, but it's unclear if it will be a movie or just a two-part TV special or anything else for that matter. Nobody's sure if it's a prequel, a continuation of Aaron Paul's narrative or something completely parallel and only tangentially related.

The project has the working title of Greenbrier (if you recognize that name, it's because it's a very common plant) and has been confirmed by the New Mexico Film Office. The filming will start this month and the story, according to The Albuquerque Journal"tracks the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom."
