After picking up accolades for what seemed like years, Compton's Boogie dropped his solo debut on Friday. Everything’s For Sale features three high profile contributors on the surface, the last of which: "Skydive II" with 6LACK, sends him flying into uncharted territory. Boogie treads on an acoustic learning pad, for the second of two "Skydive" songs on Everything's For Sale based around simple yet evocative power chords.
Interestingly enough, of the performers on "Skydive II" to elicit deeper thoughts, it's Boogie who rings the truest - his suggestion of a "drowned out discussion" spelling an end to the loving embrace he outlines in the 2nd part of the song. 6LACK, on the other hand, goes for the slicker approach, commensurate with his rap-sing bipolarity.
He even ends the song with a special nod to fellow Georgian Young Gunna, whose music he depends upon in moments of duress. Everything’s For Sale is Shady Records' most pronounced release since Eminem's last exhalations at the end of August.
