Bye Bye single player campaign.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was shrouded in mystery and rumors before a live event yesterday that revealed the specifics of the game. A new Call of Duty is introduced every year, so it was time for the franchise to try something it has never done before. If you own a mobile device, you have probably heard of Fortnite by now. While it is not the first battle royale styled game, it is the most successful by far. Battle Royale styled games depart from the multiple life scenarios of deathmatch. They also do away with loadout screens. The jump-in-and-play game mode ships 100 players out on a bus plane, and drops them off on an enormous island filled with weapons and other loot. The last player or team left standing wins.

According to Game Informer, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will deliver its own battle royale mode, that will feature gamers' favorite antagonists, zombies. Ground vehicles, air vehicles, and sea vehicles will all be included in the new game mode. There will also be three separate Zombie Modes available to play. One mode features a gladiatorial arena and ancient Egyptian zombies. Another Zombie Mode, called the Voyage of Despair, places gamers on a ship that is crawling with the undead.

As rumored, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will not feature a standard solo player campaign mode. There is a single player training mode that does tell the story that occurs between Black Ops 2 and though. Black Ops 4 hit shelves on October 12.
