Today is a big day for Suge Knight. The former CEO of Death Row Records is scheduled to be sentenced for a fatal confrontation that happened a few years ago. Some sources are expecting the man to be handed down a 28-year sentence for the 2015 manslaughter, which happened on the set of "Straight Outta Compton." The controversial figure was in the news yesterday as his son made some bizarre claims that Tupac Shakur is alive, living in Malaysia. Obviously, we've all heard the conspiracy theories regarding Pac's murder but coming from a direct member of Suge Knight's family, it had more pull than usual. As we wait to find out about Suge's sentence, he was in touch with The Blast for an exclusive interview where he made some claims of his own.

Obviously, the Knight family is aware of a lot of the behind-the-scenes action in the industry. They've been around the business for years with Suge being an influential man in the hip-hop world. He has history with Dr. Dre and according to what he says in the new interview, he believes that Dre tried to have him killed at one point. When Dre and Knight stopped doing business, Suge apparently tried to collect royalties from the legendary producer's deal with Apple and Beats. Suge believed he was entitled since they previously struck a lifetime deal for him to collect 30% of Dre's earnings. After this, Suge says that Dre tried to have him killed, describing it as a "murder-for-hire" case.

"Based on the witnesses and evidence, [Dre] talked to [the hired guns.] He told the two guys, 'How much would it cost to get rid of me?' They said, 'What you mean by get rid of me?' He said, 'Kill him.'" That's what went down according to Suge. After that, they supposedly started coming up with prices for the hit.

Knight is scheduled to be sentenced later today. Stay tuned for news on that.
