Method Man and DJ Nu-Mark have been co-hosts on the show Drop The Mic for enough time that a collaboration has come from their time together. The Wu-Tang Clan and Jurassic 5 members have teamed up for "Zodiac Killah," a fun new conceptual single that plays on the astrological birth signs. DJ Nu-Mark has been dropping off dope hits for his Zodiak Tracks, and his collaboration with Method Man is the latest addition to the series.
“While we were on set I asked him if he’d put the headphones on and listen to one of my beats,” Nu-Mark told HHDX. “He came up and within two seconds of playing the beat, he said, ‘Oh yeah, I’m fuckin with this.’ He came to the lab, knocked it out in one take. Pre-orders on the 7” sold out in two hours but will be available at stores on Record Store Day. Plus, we’re repressing.” On the track, Method Man finds a way to twists each Zodiac sign into a playful metaphor. The single was released in four forms, the original, a clean version, an instrumental, and an acapella.
