Throughout the process of creating What Happens When I Try To Relax, Open Mike learned to cope with his own social malaise, but not without recounting the difficulty in doing so.
The Chicago-born, LA-based rapper is unapologetically an "intellectual rapper," with no plans to abandon any sequential information. He even says so in the album's opening number "Relatable (peak OME)," where he raps "Some people are dummies, but I'm intellectual, I'm just like the rest of you.
