Recording the encounter on Instagram, Cardi immortalized the moment that she met one of the trailblazing female icons from the history of hip-hop, Missy Elliott. The two met while attending a pre-Grammy party hosted by Warner Music Groupon Thursday night (January 25th), bridging a generation gap between one of the genre's pioneering women and arguably the hottest female rapper on the scene today. Bardi isn't looking like she's going to be slowing down anytime soon either - her latest chart success, the remix to the Bruno Mars song "Finesse," proves that she'll be a force to be reckoned with for a long time to come.
Meanwhile, Missy Elliott had an emotional moment of her own not long ago, accepting Black Women in Music's Visionary Award from none other than Janet Jackson.
