Drake made everyone's weekend after he released his Scary Hours EP with the song's "God's Plan" and "Diplomatic Immunity." The two singles showed the different sides of Drake with one leaning closer to his pop sound while the other fed those craving straight bars from the 6 God. "God's Plan" has been teased for the past few weeks after videos of it surfaced online from parties and other events. The hype around it got so big that Drake actually broke another record on Spotify.
Drake's "God's Plan" just broke Spotify U.S. record for most streams in a single day on a song by garnering a total of 4,326,679 streams on Monday, Jan. 22nd, according to chartdata. It's not surprising considering the hype around the single itself upon its release. As of today, the song has been streamed 9,772,004 and counting since its release.

Drake is no stranger to breaking records. The rapper previously created a record in March of last year following the release of More Life. The project received 61,302,082 streams in one day on March 19th, 2017.
The thing about Drake is no matter what record he sets, his vision isn't clouded by it. Last night, Drake revealed that he was back in the studio, working on more music following the record breaking numbers on Spotify U.S. Hopefully, he's back to working on his upcoming album which he's been teasing for the past few months. So far, we know that he's working with Pi'erre Bourne on it. There's also been speculation that he and Nigerian artist Tekno might have something in the works as well.
