DJ Akademiks got to see Drake's spending up close and personal over the weekend, and he was in awe the whole time.

DJ Akademiks was one of the attendees at Drake's birthday party over the weekend. As a result, he got to see the rapper's lifestyle up close and personal. It is a lifestyle that has certainly been talked about ad nauseam over the years. Drake's personal wealth is of great interest to certain people, and while his net worth is unknown, he is clearly doing fine for himself.

In fact, Akademiks was on stream recently, where he revealed that Drake's spending is almost getting out of control. He saw this firsthand at the party, claiming Drake had spent upwards of $400K at the club.

Furthermore, he thinks the entirety of the birthday celebrations cost $1.5 million. He then said that Drake spent $500K on a gift for Lena The Plug and another $200K on a gift for Sexyy Red.

The commentator then tallied up the alleged money spent on Air Drake and the ICEMAN promo, which he believes totals upwards of $12 million.

DJ Akademiks On Drake's Spending

“I’ve never seen money spent like this," Akademiks exclaimed. He then said that while hip-hop media has paid him some good money over the years, he may just have to start rapping soon.

Drake is one of the biggest artists in the world. He has some of the most hits of any artist in the history of music. That said, none of this should come as a surprise to anyone. The man is worth hundreds of millions of dollars, and it allows him to engage in this lifestyle.

Whether or not Drake has a spending issue is not for any of us to decide. As long as he's got the means to do it, the artist can do as he pleases.
