Jay-Z was at SoFi Stadium on Friday night, and according to TMZ, ticket prices fell to just $20 before the show.

Jay-Z was performing at SoFi Stadium last night in his first of two shows in Los Angeles. Overall, fans were excited to see these performances, especially when you consider the success of his Yankee Stadium shows. Moreover, his foray into London and Paris was also a success, so it was expected that L.A. would follow suit.

However, according to a report from TMZ, backed up by data from TicketData, Hov tickets were selling for as low as $20 right before the show. Of course, if you paid $20, you got tickets in the upper bowl, which is very far away from the performance. That said, these same tickets were $61 just three days ago. When the show was first announced, they were going for $284.

Despite these low prices, Jay-Z's concert was packed, as evidenced by the videos below.

Jay-Z Brings Out The Fans Regardless

It should be noted that typically, prices do drop right before a show as people who can't attend get desperate to sell their tickets. The same psychology is seen in scalpers who just want to recoup a little bit of money, even if they take a loss.

While ticket prices are low, that does not mean the show wasn't filled to the brim with fans rapping along to every lyric. Ultimately, it is just another example of what the concert ticket industry has become.
