Months after bonding during a podcast conversation, Megan Thee Stallion appears to be getting closer to the Obama family.

A girls' night out in Los Angeles brought together an unexpected trio of famous faces. Megan Thee Stallion, Michelle Obama, and La La Anthony stepped out for dinner in West Hollywood. The women were photographed at Darling on Thursday (Oct. 15) evening (October 15), giving the former first lady an opportunity to enjoy some downtime with two familiar names in entertainment.

Photos of the outing captured the three arriving at and leaving the restaurant, each sporting a different look for the evening. Megan wore a burgundy two-piece ensemble with a cropped top and matching capri pants, accessorized with a Chanel handbag and strappy black heels. La La opted for an oversized black leather coat over a white Balenciaga T-shirt and distressed jeans. Obama kept things relatively casual in blue jeans and a navy-and-white textured jacket with fringe detailing.

The dinner also comes just two months after Megan appeared on Obama's IMO podcast, which she co-hosts with her brother, Craig Robinson. Their August conversation covered the rapper's upbringing in Houston, her career, and the challenges of maintaining a sense of self under constant public scrutiny. What made the exchange especially memorable, however, was how quickly the two found common ground.

Megan Thee Stallion And Michelle Obama Have Already Bonded Over Family

During the August 12 episode, Obama told Megan that she reminded her of her youngest daughter, Sasha. The former first lady pointed to their similar personalities and sense of humor, joking about their comparable levels of sass. Megan was delighted by the comparison and said she had already spent time with Sasha after a Saturday Night Live performance. She recalled becoming particularly protective when the president's daughter was around, making sure her security team kept a close eye on her.

"I wrapped her around and made my security be all around," Megan recalled. "I was like, 'Hold on y'all, we got the president's daughter in here!'"

Their conversation also took a more personal turn as Megan discussed the pressure of constant scrutiny. She admitted that she had spent stretches avoiding public outings altogether, preferring to stay home rather than deal with unwanted attention. "I'm starting to do the simple things again because I definitely was in my head for a long time," she explained. "I was not in a good space. I didn't want to do anything...be seen...to talk to nobody until I had to turn into Megan Thee Stallion."

Obama responded by praising Megan for showing other women, particularly young Black women, that they didn't always have to present themselves as strong. The dinner offered a more relaxed setting for the women to spend time together, away from interviews and public appearances. Although photographers captured them leaving separately, the outing was enough to get people talking.
