A 7-year-old fan named Romell Frazier Jr. finally got his wish to meet Kendrick Lamar earlier this year and a new photo from their link-up has surfaced online. The two are seen smiling together as they met in Los Angeles during the August visit.
The wholesome moment began earlier this year after Frazier was attacked by his family’s pit bulls, leading to injuries that required him to have both of his arms amputated. At the time, Frazier spoke to news reporters and told them his wish to have Kendrick attend his birthday party. While Dot couldn’t physically be present, he caught wind of the comments and FaceTimed Romell, inviting him out to Los Angeles.
Footage of the visit began circulating online with Kendrick spotted singing “Happy Birthday” to the child. Kendrick reportedly also gave Romell and his family VIP passes to Disneyland and Universal Studios.

In the FaceTime call, Kendrick praised Romell for his strength and provided some words of encouragement. "I’m glad you reached out. I’m glad I got to talk to you," he told him. "You continue to be great; continue to keep that smile on your face, man. You got a beautiful life to live. You’re giving us a whole lot of inspiration with how strong you are."
Kendrick also had kind words for Romell’s mother. It goes to show how great a parent you are and the household you got for him,” he added. “He had that smile on his face, and he’s just pushing, and he’s showing that strength."
Josh Kendrick, an employee for Delta Airlines, shared a post after Romell’s visit to Los Angeles. “Thanks to @kendricklamar —for his kindness and generosity, and for being Romell’s favorite rapper—Romell and his entire family were flown out to Los Angeles for their very first visit,” he wrote. “Somehow, I was lucky enough to have them all as my special guests and spend a little time with this beautiful family. Again, thank you, Kendrick, for your loving heart and for making a difference in people’s lives.”
