Just a couple of weeks ago, Drake dropped his FOMO short film. This film came with visuals for songs from HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR. It also included a plethora of song previews that intrigued fans.
Some of these song previews eventually made their way to YouTube. This subsequently led to fans clamoring for a streaming release. Earlier this week, Drake confirmed that on Friday, we would be getting some of those songs on Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and elsewhere.
At the time, it was unclear how the songs would be packaged. Would they be loosies? Would they be on an album called FOMO? On Thursday morning, we seemingly got our answer.
According to outlets like On Thin Ice, FOMO is actually the name for Drake's HABIBTI deluxe edition. The HABIBTI Deluxe will include four songs, including "Solar Eclipse" with Don Toliver, which has been pegged as the "Choosin Texas" remix.
Drake To Drop FOMO Tonight
From there, "Cold Shoulder," "Quebec," and "Classic PT2" will also be on the project. Two of the four songs will feature Don Toliver, which is great news for fans who have been waiting for these two to collaborate.
Some may find it disappointing that only four of the songs will be released. However, Drake is someone who oftentimes leaves tracks on the cutting room floor, even when fans don't want that to be the case.
Going into tonight's release, it will be interesting to see if there are any big changes to these songs. Given how the FOMO previews cut off, we could see some fleshed-out versions of these tracks, which is an exciting prospect.
