NBA Ben10 was arrested last week for allegedly robbing AllStar JR and brandishing a gun during the robbery. For those unaware, JR also caught legal trouble for allegedly shooting Ben10 and paralyzing him. But now that Ben is behind bars, folks are learning more details about the case and about what federal prosecutors plan to use against him
According to an exclusive report from AllHipHop's Grouchy Greg Watkins, authorities filed a detention memorandum in Louisiana arguing his "appalling" social media behavior indicates his release on bond would be a danger to the public. The Never Broke Again associate and his team will presumably argue against these moves during bond proceedings. Prosecutors claim the aforementioned firearm charge favors detention ahead of a trial. But they had more allegations and arguments to share.
Per the exclusive AllHipHop report, Assistant United States Attorney Nathan Munsell called NBA Ben10 "a grave danger to the community." "Consequently, if [he] is granted pretrial release, 'no condition or combination of conditions will reasonably assure the safety of any other person and the community,'" he added.
The memorandum reportedly has a heavy focus on Ben10's social media activity, including various Instagram posts after his paralysis. One post from August allegedly shows him with a Glock. Prosecutors believe this proves Ben's danger because "even in his partially disabled state, [he] has the full physical ability to brandish a handgun." They also alleged another picture features a small child standing feet away from him while a firearm was on his lap.
NBA Ben10's Case
Elsewhere, prosecutors referred to NBA as an organization with various individuals whom they know have participated in criminal activity. This assessment caught many off-guard, with DJ Akademiks warning NBA YoungBoy to not return to the U.S. and stay in South Korea. To be clear, YB is not a part of this case in any way.
In addition, federal authorities brought up Ben10's criminal history as another argument against his bond. They want detention at an unspecified Houston medical facility in order to properly treat his paralysis.
Meanwhile, NBA Ben10's previous remarks on AllStar JR also puzzled fans, as he seemed to advocate for him. Their social media feud and alleged altercation is what is allegedly at the center of all this.
