Drake's "FOMO" short film was officially released on Tuesday, and it has proven to be the success he was hoping for. Tens of thousands of fans tuned in live for what was a fairly interesting spectacle.
There were numerous new song snippets. In fact, we heard songs from the likes of Don Toliver and Yeat. This has fans hyped for the future, especially since it appears as though another album could very well be on the horizon. Drake did not provide confirmation, although the existence of new music is certainly a clue.
One of the song snippets has begun to go viral on social media as Drake delivered a rare political statement. As you will hear below, he said: "Pray for Gaza." It is an acknowledgement of the situation involving Israel and Palestine, and how Gazans are being attacked.
Drake had previously mentioned Palestine on "Make Them Pay" as he addressed DJ Khaled.
Drake Makes A Statement
Whether or not this is going to be a continued theme for Drake remains to be seen. In the past, he has been criticized for his reluctance to speak on political issues in his music. However, it appears as though Palestine has inspired him to change that.
Going forward, Drake seems to be preparing a tour for his fans. After dropping three albums' worth of new content, it only makes sense that Drizzy would want to take his music on the road. Fans have been yearning for some shows, and now could be the right time to jet set across the world.
