The 50 Cent-produced docuseries "Sean Combs: The Reckoning" was up for three Emmys, and Fif's Diddy takedown nabbed him an award.

50 Cent now has one more reason to flaunt and maintain his distaste for Diddy, as the Netflix docuseries he produced about the mogul, Sean Combs: The Reckoning, is officially an Emmy winner. The Television Academy awarded the Alexandria Stapleton-directed series with the Outstanding Picture Editing For A Nonfiction Program accolade at the first of two 78th Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremonies last night (Saturday, September 5). The second one follows tonight (Sunday, September 6).

More specifically, the Television Academy honored supervising editors Charles Divak, ACE (American Cinema Editors) and Evan Wise, ACE, along with lead editor Jack Gravina and editors Adam Goldstein, Jonathan Miller, Jeremy Siefer, and Benji Kast, ACE. The Reckoning was also nominated in two other categories: Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series and Outstanding Directing for a Documentary/Nonfiction Program.

Via Instagram, 50 Cent celebrated this achievement and took the opportunity to clap back at anyone downplaying his success. "I won a Emmy still think I’m taking a L or you changed your mind," he wrote. "GLG GreenLightGang we don’t miss." Considering how much the G-Unit mogul celebrated the nominations, the win itself will probably lead to even more celebrations.

50 Cent's Emmy

Even with this editing Emmy in mind, 50 Cent's comments about Diddy continue to show why his production of Sean Combs: The Reckoning was so controversial in the first place. Many fans alleged bias was at play, let alone the Bad Boy mogul's team. But he's just a small part of a much larger tale and production, and he's never been shy about making that disdain clear.

Most recently, 50 theorized Keefe D might testify against Puff concerning the murder of Tupac. This follows Keefe's murder conviction cocnerning the case.

Elsewhere, 50 Cent is flaunting other successes, even if they have only recently resurfaced after decades. Amid the successful relaunch of his G-Unit Reebok sneakers, he looked back at an old ad for Reebok he did with Jay-Z. Fif even suggested Hov is still mad at him over the commercial for wearing the G-Unit shoes rather than the S. Carters. With every win comes a troll, and 50's happy to stick to that formula.

Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Gabriel treasures the crossover between his native reggaetón and hip-hop news coverage, such as his review for Bad Bunny’s hometown concert in 2024. But more specifically, he digs for the deeper side of hip-hop conversations, whether that’s the “death” of the genre in 2023, the lyrical and parasocial intricacies of the Kendrick Lamar and Drake battle, or the many moving parts of the Young Thug and YSL RICO case. Beyond engaging and breaking news coverage, Gabriel makes the most out of his concert obsessions, reviewing and recapping festivals like Rolling Loud Miami and Camp Flog Gnaw. He’s also developed a strong editorial voice through album reviews, think-pieces, and interviews with some of the genre’s brightest upstarts and most enduring obscured gems like Homeboy Sandman, Bktherula, Bas, and Devin Malik.
