Delonte West has been through a lot during his life. The former NBA star's fall from grace is something that basketball fans have been tracking for many years. During that time, they have wished him well and hoped for the day he recovers and gets back to living life to the fullest.
In 2019, West went viral multiple times as fans found him on the streets. He appeared intoxicated in these videos, and it was visibly taking a toll on his mental health. Eventually, he received help from Mark Cuban, who got him into a rehab facility. Unfortunately, West relapsed, and there were more reports of him living on the streets.
Now, West is back in recovery and appears to be doing much better. In fact, he was a guest on N3on's livestream over the weekend. During the stream, they went to the gym to play some ball, and as you will see, West's still got it.
The man was hitting stepbacks and showing off his crossover work. N3on was thoroughly impressed with what he was watching, as was the audience.
Delonte West Is Looking Good
West began his NBA career in 2004 with the Boston Celtics. During the 2007-08 season, he got to join LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. He would play with the Cavs until 2010 before eventually going to the Dallas Mavericks.
His career ended in 2012 as substance abuse issues and deteriorating mental health kept him from the court. There was also one particular unfortunate rumor that was mostly circulated by fans and trolls alike. If you're up on your NBA lore, you probably know what we're talking about.
Now, West seems to be doing much better, and that is truly great to see. His journey has been a difficult one, and there are still battles ahead. Regardless, he's in a much better spot now than he was just five years ago.
