EDP445, real name Bryant Moreland, is currently in some hot water following statements he made in a documentary last week. The documentary is called The Sick Mind Of EDP445 and was produced by YouTuber Mike Clum.
It is a documentary that has received quite a bit of history. EDP445 admits to being attracted to minors in the doc; however, the documentary also takes a more humorous approach to the subject matter. Viewers didn't like this tone, as they felt like it completely normalizes EDP and his mindset.
As it turns out, the documentary did lead to at least one positive outcome. According to Fox58, the Kern County District Attorney's Office has reopened a case against EDP from 2021. This file involves the infamous sting operation that was posted by Alex Rosen online. EDP445 was caught trying to message a 13-year-old girl, who was actually a decoy.
“We are re-examining the case in light of the statements made by the suspect in the documentary," the DA's office revealed.
EDP445 Under Investigation
Mike Clum says he tried to get the DA's office to speak in the documentary, but they refused to do so. Given the fact that they had originally closed the case, it makes sense that they would decline an interview.
“So while he didn't face any Legal consequences due to the way the sting operation was handled, he received a massive amount of public backlash and was getting fired from jobs,” Clum said.
EDP445's comments in this new documentary are disgusting, to say the least. There has been widespread internet backlash, and Kern County was certainly feeling the pressure to take another look at what went on here.
This remains a developing story.
