Charlamagne Tha God clowned Drake for barking at Pinkchyu during his recent livestream, calling her a "Hot Topic chick."

Charlamagne Tha God has never been out of ideas when it comes to criticisms of Drake, although he also gives him props whenever he feels he deserves it. While he found the backlash to the 6ix God's recent livestream to be "stupid," he did partially agree with these fans by criticizing his choice to choose goth Internet personality Pinkchyu as his winner for his 20v1 speed dating segment.

Charlamagne made these remarks during his latest Brilliant Idiots episode (specifically at the 10-minute mark of the YouTube video below). Loren LoRosa filled in for Andrew Schulz.

Tha God praised Drizzy's charity efforts, but had harsh words for him barking at Pinkchyu and choosing her as the winner. "Stuff like that just reminds me how white Drake is," he remarked. "Why are you attracted to the goth girl? Why are you barking at the Hot Topic chick?"

LoRosa stepped in to push back on this, as the goth Internet personality doesn't deserve the hate. "I ain’t never seen someone get bricked up over Wednesday Addams," Charlamagne added. The cohosts also discussed the Toronto superstar's pop stardom and crossover appeal, saying he could get into his acting bag and defending his charity as something out of the goodness of his heart, not a cynical "trick."

Drake & Pinkchyu

For those unaware, the OVO mogul told Pinkchyu he would buy her mother a house at her request. It was a very sweet moment during the 20v1, making for one of the most wholesome developments of the livestream.

Elsewhere, though, Charlamagne Tha God and Drake have been at odds thanks to the former's media conflict with the latter's fan, DJ Akademiks. Ak has been accusing Charlamagne and others of being puppets for Roc Nation, and they have hashed out their issues multiple times now.

Meanwhile, hip-hop media still has Drake at the top of their minds. During a new episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, Budden encouraged The Boy to drop a Jay-Z diss track and take the feud to the next level. We'll see if that happens. But in any case, questions around Drake and debates about his public image will continue to be messy.

Beyond engaging and breaking news coverage, Gabriel makes the most out of his concert obsessions, reviewing and recapping festivals like Rolling Loud Miami and Camp Flog Gnaw. He’s also developed a strong editorial voice through album reviews, think-pieces, and interviews with some of the genre’s brightest upstarts and most enduring obscured gems like Homeboy Sandman, Bktherula, Bas, and Devin Malik.
