Vic Mensa Songs

  • Around My Way
    Around My Way
Vic Mensa has found wider success through a strong co-sign from Kanye West in 2015, but he hasn't forgotten where he came from. Today he joins with the Fat Gang crew for a hard drill-inspired banger, "Around My Way".
  • All That Shines
    All That Shines
Vic Mensa is seemingly in the process of dumping all the songs that didn't make the cut for Traffic via his current weekly Friday series. The series has produced such fine tracks as "I Been" and "Heat It Up Freestyle," and now it gives us "All That Shines," a reflection on his rapid rise to stardom.
  • I Been
    I Been
After dropping "Heir to the Throne" and "Heat it Up," Vic Mensa is back with his "I Been," his third track in three weeks.
  • Heat It Up (Freestyle)
    Heat It Up (Freestyle)
Vic Mensa's "U Mad" was a huge moment for the Chicago rapper, earning him an elusive Kanye Feature. Since then, the rapper has been fairly quiet, but the anticipation for his upcoming project has remained high. Today, he's back with another furious record, going hookless this time, billing it as a freestyle.Anyone who's a fan of Mensa's urgent radio verses will be very happy to hear this new offering, which finds him spitting with a similar energy. It should only increase the anticipation for his upcoming project, as well as Kanye's new LP, which Vic is set to appear.
  • Heir To The Throne (Freestyle)
    Heir To The Throne (Freestyle)
Vic Mensa is getting ready to hit the road for his upcoming “Traffic” Tour, but before he does he’s got a new freestyle to share with the fans first titled “Heir To The Throne."
  • Codeine Crazy (Icarus Story)
    Codeine Crazy (Icarus Story)
With everyone going crazy for Future's new album right now, Vic Mensa chose the perfect time to debut the CDQ version of his "Codeine Crazy" cover. We previously saw the rapper perform the record live at the Pitchfork Music Festival, but now we have the official audio.
  • No Chill
    No Chill
Vic Mensa and EDM producer Skrillex just debuted a new collaboration on Apple, via Zane Lowe's Beats 1 radio show. Another point for Apple. On top of getting some hot exclusives, Apple is a bit more sympathetic to those of us who don't have the service-- we're able to stream the song on the web, with no app installation required (unlike TIDAL exclusives). Anyways back to the record at hand, Vic Mensa and Skrillex turn up, making this perfect for the Friday night that lies ahead.
  • I'm Yours
    I'm Yours
Justine Skye treats us to "I'm Yours" feat. Vic Mensa one day before she releases her new EP Emotionally Unavailable.
  • Have U Eva
    Have U Eva
Earlier this year, SaveMoney affiliates Leather Corduroys put out their album Season, which featured Chance The Rapper and Knox Fortune. Today, they return with a new song entitled "Have U Eva" that features Vic Mensa.
  • Down On My Luck (Chuck Inglish Remix)
Down On My Luck (Chuck Inglish Remix)
Chuck Inglish's old group The Cool Kids always had a refreshing, think-outside-the-box approach to rap. Supposedly, he made the "Black Mags" beat while on shrooms.
  • U Mad
    U Mad
Vic Mensa has been given an immense co-sign by Kanye West over the last couple months, and today he's finally shared his full record, "U Mad," which features a new verse from Ye. We first heard the track performed live at a show in London, but the studio version certainly lives up to the hype. The instrumental sounds a little like the TNGHT-sampling "Blood On The Leaves," and makes us think Hudson Mohawke may be involved.Look out for new efforts from both rappers very soon. Let us know what you think of the new record in the comments.
  • Involved
If you recall the Crew Love feature we did on the Save Money collective a while back, you might remember that Towkio is a member. Although we've never featured him on the site in the past, today seemed like as good a day as any to start, especially since he just dropped off a new single featuring fellow Save Money rapper Vic Mensa.
  • Drive Me Crazy
    Drive Me Crazy
After linking up on the collab “Wimme Nah” over the summer, Vic Mensa and producer Kaytranada have decided to do it all over again on this new joint called “Drive Me Crazy”.
  • April 13th
    April 13th
Michael Uzowuru is a Southern California producer who has lent his instrumental experiments to the likes of Earl Sweatshirt, Vince Staples, and Domo Genesis, but one of his most successful collaborators has been Vic Mensa. Contributing two beats to the Chicago rapper's INNANETAPE project, as well as his more recent single, "Major Payne".
  • Waves
Whether its the unique, socially conscious subject matter he spits about, his affection for EDM or something as surface-level as his blonde hair, Vic Mensa is always finding ways to buck conventions. His latest exploratory effort finds him singing over lush, baroque production on Michael Uzowuru's new EP, Pink Orchids.
  • Wimme Nah
    Wimme Nah
Vic Mensa decides to start his weekend by unleashing (free) new music for the fans. We can't shake our heads at that. The rising Chicago native and XXL Freshman connects with Montreal producer Kaytranada for a beat on "Wimme Nah." This follows up Vic's last drop, also a freebie, "Major Payne." The beat is on the mellow side, but Vic brings up the energy with his flow and voice. Grab it if you're fucking with it.  So are you wit Vic yet?
  • James Harden
    James Harden
"We had a day off in Houston a couple of years ago, so we made this. It was featured on Illroots Radio Volume Three.Five." That's how Chuck Inglish describes "James Harden," a track he just freed from the confines of that hourlong IllRoots mix in honor of Throwback Thursday. Featuring guest verses from Killa Kyleon and a then-nascent Vic Mensa, this lengthy track bears an unmistakable connection to the music of H-Town.
  • Major Payne
    Major Payne
Aside from being apart Chance The Rapper’s Save Money crew, Vic Mensa has been making a name for himself this past year and gaining major recognition, rightfully so. Today, the XXL Freshmen decided to give fans a little treat and re-release his track “Major Payne”, which originally saw life on the XXL Freshmen Mixtape.
  • Down On My Luck
    Down On My Luck
Vic Mensa surprised everyone when he signed up to tour with Disclosure last year, but the rapper has been moving in a more UK dance-oriented sound with recent releases. His latest cut, "Down On My Luck" is his most electronic-infused track yet, with the majority of the song being sung rather than rapped, and featuring production from Stefan Ponce, who also contributed the Juke-influenced instrumental for Chance The Rapper's "Good Ass Intro".
  • Fast Life
    Fast Life
Asher Roth will be releasing his sophomore album, Retrohash, on April 22nd, but today, the album was made available or pre-order on iTunes. With that pre-order, fans can now take a listen to this smooth new record titled “Fast Life”, featuring Chicago's own Vic Mensa.
