After an overwhelmingly positive response to YG's collaboration with Nipsey Hussle, "FDT," (at least from the music community), YG came back for part two quite recently with Seattle native Macklemore and Bay Area's own G-Eazy.

One of the improbably highlights of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis's sophomore album This Unruly Mess I've Made was "Dance Off," a silly yet moderately banging ode to the dance floor showdown. It didn't hurt that the song featured Idris Elba and Anderson .Paak.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis have been Ellen-approved for a while, so it's no surprise that they stopped by to perform their new single, "Dance Off," which is perfect territory for the show, as we know Degeneres encourages body movement of all types. Naturally, the performance is filled with impressive moves, and Ellen even drops in towards the end.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis cooked up an equally playful visual treatment for the song, which they debuted on Facebook this afternoon.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Feat. Jamila Woods
Macklemore and Ryan Lewis appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night and performed his recent single “White Privilege II.” It’s not exactly and uplifting or digestible song (it was cut down from 8 minutes to just under 7 minutes for this performance), but it’s good to see Colbert willing to have the performance nonetheless.

You might remember Macklemore's candid & productive discussion on race in hip hop with Ebro two years ago. With the internet typhoon his new single "White Privilege II" has freshly whipped up, Macklemore (and his trusty sidekick Ryan Lewis) swung by Sway in the Morning on Tuesday to discuss the record and rehash many of the same topics he delved into with Ebro.

"Doctor please, give me a dose of the American Dream," Bridges sings on the hook.

Bose has released a cheeky new commercial for their wireless headphones today, enlisting rapper Macklemore and NFL star/Ciara's boo Russell Wilson as their star power. It's pretty funny, although for some reason not available in HD (!). Macklemore coaxes Russell Wilson's ego in the clip, while Bose leaves you with the tag line: "Music builds you up." Take a look at the commercial above.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' splendiferous new track "Downtown" received one of the lowest user ratings in HNHH history. It's too bad the user's can't rate videos, because the Seattle-based duo just dropped the "Downtown" video.

MTV News flew out to Seattle recently to talk with Macklemore about his drug relapse, the joys of fatherhood, backlash against "Thrift Shop," and his upcoming sophomore album with Ryan Lewis. “I was not at my best when I found out [my girlfriend] Tricia was pregnant," he said. "I was struggling with addiction. I got down on my knees and prayed just like, ‘God, I’m not ready for this right now.'"

In addition to dropping off the collaboration, Macklemore wrote a pretty lengthy note about what he was going through when he found out his wife was pregnant, and he's also spoken to MTV about the song's creation.

Depending who you're talking to, Macklemore and trash will often appear in the same sentence, but this is the first time they've been so closely linked on record. While an image of Mackle chilling inside a garbage can made the Twitter rounds way back, the skit has finally made its way to Sesama street. Remixing the rapper's gigantic hit, "Thrift Shop", the Oscar The Grouch-assisted track switches the focus from used clothing to straight-up trash. The internet will likely have a field day with this one, so you're sure to see plenty more of it this week.

The Seattle rapper just posted a video in which he attempts to get out of "the doghouse" with his girlfriend by dressing up as a grandma and trick-or-treating around the Capitol Hill neighborhood of his hometown.

A$AP Rocky
Last Tuesday, Noisey shared part one of their documentary on A$AP Rocky's rise to fame, entitled "SVDDXNLY," and today we've got part two of five.  This time around Rocky tells us that he has to work with friends (whose subsequent teasing of his outfit must be part of the deal), and A$AP Twelvy backs that up by saying, "We click, we don't ever argue. We just bros."
