Is it the Gucci Mane project or something else?
Drake has kicked off his Summer Sixteen tour, and on top of delivering a stacked setlist of hits, he's made sure to throw some surprises into his performance. Drizzy took some some thinly veiled shots at Tory Lanez and Tyga at the tour's opening Austin tour stop, and on Saturday night in Kansas City, he gave fans yet another topic to discuss, hinting at an upcoming mixtape.
What I saw tonight was a beautiful building of beautiful people from all races and all places," he told the crowd towards the end of the show. "I want you to protect yourselves and each other so that when I go and work on this new mixtape and come back to Kansas City and I drop that shit, I wanna see everybody in this motherfucker boy!"
There have recently been rumors of a collaborative project between Drake and Gucci Mane, with Guwop's go-to producer Zaytoven recently suggesting it will be an EP tentatively titled 6'ers. Drake kept his comments in KC decidedly vague, so it's hard to tell if it's the Gucci project he's referring to, but either way you should expect new music from the 6 God soon.
