In case the name isn’t familiar, Wiki is the frontman of New York City’s Ratking. He had a strong 2015, finishing out the year by dropping his first solo record Lil Me.
Continuing the album’s trend of branching out from the darker Ratking sound, Wiki enlists producer extraordinaire Kaytranada for “Crib Tax.” The Montreal resident delivers with an jazzy, laid back beat that Wiki is nonetheless able to spazz on with his usual ferocity.
The song and video show Wiki in his element - the crib. It’s his sanctuary, and he doesn’t hesitate to remind the listener that everything that happens in his crib is his domain, and he’ll “hit that,” “sip that,” “rip that,” and “get that” in his crib.
