Lophiile and Vic Mensa make a great team on "Common Sense."

With his innovative discography Lophiile, born Tyler Acord, has made a name for himself as an artist, and has proven to be one to watch. Starting off as a keyboard player and turntablist for a metal band, Lophiile has since branched out and released a number of notable productions on his own including "Preach," "Newno," and "Off Top."

His most recent release features Chicago rapper Vic Mensa and proves to be another demonstration of Acord's ability to fuse a range of sounds to create a melodious, and genre-bending track. Merging a smooth, deep bass with lilting percussion and an airy melody, the song takes listeners on a journey of soundscapes.

Quotable Lyrics

You know I’m gon’ chase that money
You can bank on me
Still the same OG
I’d rather die on my feet than live on my knees
I’m a survivor like my father
But that’s word to my mama
Black Panther up in Hollywood
I’m feeling like T’Challa
Not guilty your honor
Only God can judge us
‘Cause you can kill a dreamer
But the dream lives forever
