The rapper says he just wants his community to stand up for itself.

Things are shaking up in Hollywood with a massive boycott that is focused on the LGBTQIA community. According to reports, beginning on Wednesday, the oil-rich nation of Brunei is making adultery and homosexual sex illegal. The punishment for being found guilty of either act is by death, most likely by stoning. They will also begin publicly beating anyone who has had an abortion. The punishment for theft is amputation.

Celebrities have decided to take a stance against the Sultan of Brunei who owns nine luxury hotels, including the elite Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles. Famous figures including Elle DeGeneres, George Clooney, and Elton John have lent their voices to the cause, encouraging everyone from their Hollywood friends to their fans worldwide to mobilize in the boycott.

You know T.I. was going to have something to say about this, especially because he's been met with so much resistance when trying to get the people, especially marginalized communities and hip hop culture, to rally against fashion labels who have been accused of using racist imagery. He continues to fight against Gucci, even attempting to school a stranger on the street that he saw wearing the brand.

Speaking on the recent Brunei boycott, Tip shared information about the news on Instagram while writing that if others can support "their" own, so can he. "See how people ride when you threaten THEIR CULTURE?!?!?! All I ask is that WE (Young Black, Latino, hip hop culture) should take the SAME AMOUNT OF ACTION against those who oppose US as the LGBTQ 🏳️‍🌈, and Jewish communities take against those who oppose them!!!!"

"THATs ALL I ASK!!!!," T.I. continued. "Stand UP FOR OURSELVES AND DEMAND RESPECT!!!! Quit asking for it!!! WHAT POSITION SHOULD WE TAKE IF THEY STILL WEARING GUCCI, PRADA, BURBERRY, & MONCLER???"

Tip is never one to stand down from a social justice issue. He recently had a few words about the "f**kin' coward" who killed Nipsey Hussle and has been bringing attention to the controversial death of Taemon Blair.
