Ak says the decision was made by the rapper himself.
Tekashi fans were taken by surprise a couple of days ago when his studio album DUMMY BOY leaked online. The project that was set to drop on November 23 was held back by the label mostly due to the rapper's legal issues. Announcements to that effect were posted on Tekashi's socials as well as his collaborators' profiles, including Murda Beatz and Nicki Minaj. Suddenly, DJ Akademiks comes through with the unexpected.
The entertainer says DUMMY BOY is set to drop within the next few hours today. According to his post on social media, the "STOOPID" rapper wants to offer fans the opportunity of fully experiencing his music even though he won't be free to interact with them as they digest his very first official project.
"Tekashi 6ix9ine album "DUMMY BOY" will be officially released in a few hours to all major outlets. This is the decision of Tekashi himself who despite being dissapointed about his leak & his current situation wants his fans to enjoy his music. He says he loves and misses his fans."
His upload was reposted by the Hot 98.3 radio station, adding a bit of weight to the matter. Fans should keep an eye out case Akademiks information is legit.
