A playlist of HNHH's favorite songs from the past week.

It seems like the tide in the rap game has finally slowed down a bit, after all the theatrics surrounding the release of Kanye West's The Life of Pablo (which is still being amended) and, then, the surprise release of a masterful compilation of outtakes from Kendrick Lamar. Still, on a song-by-song basis, the genre continues to bring us more quality than we can handle.

Much of the industry is currently down in Austin for SXSW, which also explains this week's relative slowness, and the fans who could afford to make the trip are likely already in full turn-up mode, dialed-in to some party that will continue for several more hours. For those of us just getting out of work or school, though, let's start the night with an immersive mix of the best songs of last week, handpicked by the HNHH staff.

There aren't any huge stars on this week's list, but the talent is sensational. The mix begins with the new one from Yachty and Quavo. I had been suspicious of the former rapper's Internet buzz, though after "No Hook," my seasickness has calmed and it's smooth sailing on the Yachty boat. Incredible track. We've also got both of the new Boogie tracks that we just premiered, both proof that his skill has only sharpened since signing a major label deal.

Check out the staff's individual picks below, and let us know what you think of the new playlist!

Angus Walker: Lil Yachty feat. Quavo "No Hook"; Kodak Black "News or Something"

Trevor Smith: PnB Rock feat. Key! "SemiAutomatic"

Rose Lilah: Boogie "Out My Way (Bitter Raps II)"

Carver Low: Tre Capital "Running with the Torch"; Azizi Gibson "Matrix Slave Ship"

Mike De Leon: No Malice feat. MD Uno "Best Believe It"

Kevin Goddard: Amir Obe "One Night Thing"

Daniel Schwartz: Boogie feat. Tink "Catching Feelings"
