Snoop Dogg's been in the game for over two and a half decades at this point. For anyone born in the early 90's, he's pretty much been around for the majority of your life. He's evolved so much since his debut and has gone on to dabbling in different genres of music like country, gospel and reggae. However, when he came into the game, he was a gangsta rapper that helped bring a new vibe to the west coast with his debut album, Doggystyle. The album turns 25 this year and to commemorate its release, Uncle Snoop closed out the BET Awards with a special performance.
Snoop Dogg held down the final performance of the evening at the 2018 BET Awards with a special medley of some of his iconic hits. To kick things off, he performed a slew of hits from the past including "The Next Episode" and "Who Am I (What's My Name)." In addition to performing some of the hits, Snoop Dogg closed out his performance by taking us to church and performing some of the cuts from his recent gospel album, Bible Of Love.
With Snoop marking 25 years of his debut album, maybe we'll be able to see him take his BET Performance on the road for a special tour commemorating it's release. It would be incredible to see Snoop perform all the hit records from Doggystyle for is day one fans.
