Los Angeles native Slim 400 has been building a name for himself since stepping out from behind his friend YG. His All Blassik mixtape was a surprise fan-favorite on HNHH, but on “Hol’ Upppp,” Slim 400 steps outside his comfort zone of funky west coast beats.
The mildly unhinged hook has Slim stretching his vocal cords to the limit as he tells people to slow their roll around him. The A$AP Ferg feature comes out of nowhere, since we’ve never seen the two associate with each other. The Harlem native delivers a quick 16 before Slim closes things out on the hook.
The song is another release in Slim 400’s Foe Block Fridays series to promote his upcoming #FoeBlock2 mixtape.
I go hard in the puss, never question a nigga
and you know it's "hol' up" when you pressin' a nigga
so you bitches can kit kat, or you niggas can be bold
fly, I'm just keepin' it foe
