Selena Gomez's mother, Mandy Teefey, has been vocal in the past when it comes to her daughter's love life. Remember when Selena and Justin Bieber got back together for a short amount of time and Mandy reportedly lost it and ended up in the hospital? Whether that was 100% true or not, it's clear to see that Mandy cares about who her daughter brings home as she has listed three things the next guy should have.
“A sense of humor,” she said, adding that he needs to be “family-oriented” and “someone who truly understands the life that she lives.” Mandy also told PEOPLE that she understands the life her daughter lives and how it can be hard to find something real. “I empathize with her a lot because could you imagine trying to find someone who isn’t in this business that understands, they’re gonna read she’s cheating every five minutes on them? That’s a special person,” she explained.
She added: “I want them to care about her and not the fame and not trying to sell things or become something.”
As of late for Selena, she recently dropped off her "Back To You" music video for the track that comes off season two of 13 Reasons Why.
