In hosting his first annual Ovo (October's Very Own) Festival, Drake pulled out all the stops with a guest list featuring many of Rap's VIPs.



Jay-Z, Eminem, Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, Bun B and Fabolous joined the Toronto rapper in his hometown for the show, which none of the concertgoers were likely to ever forget.

Hip-hop star SHAWTY LO has changed the name of his record label D4L to distance himself from snap rap music - because he wants to be taken more seriously.



The Atlanta, Georgia-based MC founded D4L Records with rappers Fabo, Stuntman and Mook B. in 2003, and formed hip-hop group D4L.



The Laffy Taffy hitmakers became part of the snap music trend in 2006 - a dance-centric subgenre of hip-hop - but Lo refuses to embrace the movement and is fighting off the stigma by rebranding the label to be taken more seriously as an artist and executive.

Atlanta rapper Soulja Boy has challenged rapper Fabolous to a battle over a series of tweets the Brooklyn rapper sent out last week making fun of Soulja Boy's alleged tryst with Katt Stacks.



Fabolous, who is known for starting trending topics on Twitter with his tweets, lashed out at Soulja Boy after footage of him hit the net with Katt Stacks in a hotel room, allegedly using cocaine.



Although Soulja Boy has denied any drug use, Fabolous berated him on Twitter, to his 631, 337 followers.

DJ Clue of Power 105 in New York conducted a brief interview where the two men settled their differences.



The entire incident started after Soulja Boy was allegedly caught in a tryst with Kat Stack, who said the young rapper was snorting cocaine. The vixen also showed a plate of what seemed to be the illegal drug in an online video.

Kanye West and Thornton were spotted at the Marc Jacobs women's store on Mercer St. during the boutique's Fashion's Night Out festivities. After chatting up Vogue editor Anna Wintour, they took photos together and held hands leaving the boutique. Fans of West chased the musical twosome down the street, snapping pictures on their cell phones.



An in-the-know source says West, 33, and Thornton, who turns 26 on Sept. 26, have been "dating for only about two weeks" but that things are going "very well."

Dating rumors have been swirling around rising Pittsburgh MC Wiz Khalifa and Kanye West's former girlfriend Amber Rose for awhile, and now it looks like things are swinging into more official territory. Chris Brown may have thrown a tantrum on Tuesday (March 22) after 'Good Morning America' host Robin Roberts brought up his domestic dispute, and his ex-girlfriend Rihanna is taking a similar approach. The Bajan singer recently shot down questions about Breezy during an interview with Fabulous magazine, flipping the script on the asking journalist when his name was mentioned.

Grammy-nominated rapper Fabolous is keeping hope alive for a potential supergroup album featuring himself alongside R&B hitmakers Ne-Yo and Ryan Leslie.



Ideally, Fab envisions the album showcasing his and Ne-Yo's verbal skills while Leslie's talents are conveyed behind the boards.
