Ryan Reynolds signs on for another action film.

The Pokemon franchise has signed a big Hollywood actor to star in the upcoming live-action movie. Ryan Reynolds may still be on his Deadpool duties but according to The Hollywood Reporter, he's officially signed on to the play the honorary detective in Detective Pikachu.

The premise of the movie follows the detective as he helps a young boy locate his kidnapped father, enlisting in help from Pikachu. Production is set to start January of next year and has a tentative release date for 2019. From what Ryan has delivered in Deadpool, there's some hope for this film and it not being a total bust.

The second instalment of Deadpool hits theatres June 1st, 2018. The last few teasers for the film previewed some of the upcoming action with some favourites returning such as Pool's mutant allies, Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead. The last clip, in particular, paid tribute to the late painter, Bob Ross.

"Would you look at that, it seems like we have ourselves a finished painting," Deadpool said at the end of the clip after the trailer cuts off to scenes from the movie. "So from our family to yours, keep your pants dry, your dreams wet and remember hugs, not drugs." Watch the teaser below.
