One of the more surprising features on Reese's new self-titled album.

Reese LAFLARE's new self-titled project features some impressive features. Young Thug, Ty Dolla $ign, Gunna, Yung Bans, and Smokepurpp all make appearances, but perhaps the most surprising guest spot comes from Pusha T. It comes on "Mood Ring," a track, which much like Travis Scott's Astroworld material, comes with an unpredictable beat switch. If you hadn't looked at the credits, you'd have never seen Pusha coming. He shows up right at the tail end of the track, and he sounds looser than usual, seemingly absorbing the Atlanta flavor around him and going for a less meticulously written verse for something driven more by pure feeling. Strangely, he takes the opportunity to take a shot at the "new generation of weirdo n***as," which seems like an out-of-character move considering he's thrown his praise behind the likes of Desiigner and Rae Sremmurd. It's not clear exactly who he's coming for here, but as someone who's always called for a strong pen game in rap, it's probably someone whose writing he doesn't feel is up to par. Mostly though, he sounds like he's just happy to rap over the mechanical beat, which recalls some of the iciest beats Pharrell gave him on Hell Hath No Fury

Quotable Lyrics:
Mood swings like a mood ring
What color is you?
Lil Skate, remind me of P little bit
Real shit, fear no nigga
New generation of weirdo n***as
