Seldom is there news as equally amazing as it is strange. This fits the bill. In the upcoming Teen Titans Go! film, starring the heroes of the same name, they will be joined by Nicolas Cage. That's right. Nicolas Cage will be reprising the role of Superman that he was once deprived of. Cage was cast as the Kryptonian in Tim Burton's Superman Lives, which of course, didn't see the light of day.
In an interview with USA Today, executive producer Sam Register shared, "Every superhero in the DC Universe has an impact on the fans, so we felt a great responsibility to find a voice for each character that would not only suit the role, but the playful tone of the Titans, and we’re thrilled with our cameo cast.” Cage will be sharing his voice alongside Lil Yachty as Green Lantern and Halsey as Wonder Woman.
The upcoming film appears to be a giant fan-casting gone right. The film is out July 27th but we will have to wait and see the other cameo announcements to be made. In the meantime, enjoy a video of Nic Cage in a prototype Superman suit below.
