Nicki Minaj gives the fans an update on her upcoming album.

Nicki Minaj has steady been flooding the market this summer with feature verses this summer. We haven't received any solo records from her, however we know that she's been steady working on her upcoming album. While the anticipation for it is very real, she gave her fans a bit of an update outside of NYFW.

Before the rapper jumped in her vehicle to leave, she decided to chop it up with some fans outside of the Phillip Plein event where she performed. On her way out, she says "I love you and I adore you. Oh, the album. Oh my God! The album is so fuckin’ good!” She seems pretty enthusiastic about the project overall. While it's only a small update, it's a promising statement. By the sound of it, it seems the album is near completion or is pretty much done at this point.

In June, she went on Whoo Kid "Whoolywood Shuffle" radio show where she talked about the project. During the interview, she said “I know it’s going to be my best body of work and I always love to be in real time, see my fans reacting to something." She continued, "That’s what I’m looking forward to now. Obviously, I’m not telling them when my album is coming out, but I know that it’s gonna be amazing because I want to thank the people who’ve rocked with me for all of these years." She later said in the interview that she's aiming to make a classic hip hop album with her upcoming release.

For many fans, that's what people are looking for. Among this years wins, she also found herself slightly caught up in some controversy's here and there including her feud with Remy Ma and the alleged beef with Cardi B. While there hasn't been much else revealed, hopefully a single surfaces in the near future. Either way, if the features she's been putting out this summer have any sort of indication on how the album is going to be sounding, it's definitely going to have a healthy blend of her pop sound and her rugged hip hop stuff.
