Just when you thought "Bandersnatch" had run its course.

Netflix has joined in the informal discussion concerning Black Mirror: Bandersnatch's missing storyline. Apparently, an outcome of the story lay unexplored. Spoiler alert: if the option to "pick up the photo" is chosen twice in a row, the fictional author of Bandersnatch, the book Stefan's game design is based upon, appears in Stefan's dream forcing him into a holding pattern. If you haven't given Bandersnatch a second gander, now's your chance, under the guidance of a Netflix-sponsored helping hand.

Those who experienced Bandersnatch the first time around will remember the "fictional author" as Jerome F. Davies, who is said to have cut his wife's head off in a fit of rage. According to the show's creators, real-life author Warren Ellis was the show's first choice for that role. Due to time constraints, the role was later given to Jeff Minter, a real-life game developer.

"They asked me in late March 2018, for an early April shoot. Three days, and one of the days had not yet been specified. Six hours’ train travel a day to get to the location and back… To burn three days, with the possibility that the floating day (the actual filming day) would be one I couldn’t do," Ellis tells CBR.com.

Otherwise, fans have resorted to picking apart the most reclusive options in older episodes throughout the series, specifically in Season 4's "Hang the DJ" where an app was created in real-time, emulating the show's "expiration dating" storyline - see for yourself.
