Michael Christmas releases a new track, "Shadows," produced by 6ix.

Michael Christmas is back with another single, "Shadows," off his upcoming album, What a Weird Day.

His last drop, "Are You Around," featuring Polyester the Saint, was a late-night funk jam that was even more far-out than Christmas usually takes us. "Shadows" features Christmas' usual laid-back, effortless rapping. What starts off as a seemingly self-deprecating account of Christmas' "ordinary" personality turns into an introspective journey and a showcase of how Christmas is using his creative gifts in more interesting ways than most rappers out there, even if there's hardly any boasting, or flexing, throughout the song.

"Shadows" features lush production from 6ix, Logic's go-to producer. What a Weird Day arrives on October 23 and will include guest spots from Mac Miller, Logic, D.R.A.M., and more.

Quotable Lyrics

A hunnid emoji, prayer hands, fire, it's lit
I thank God for this gift
And if I ever win a Grammy I do something worthy of a GIF
Kiss my momma, then I'm back to this Motel 6
