Mozzy has shared "Not Impressive," the new single from his forthcoming project Gangland Landlord. At the top of the track, Mozzy declares, They say they want that throwback Mozzy," before going on to name some of breakthrough projects released between 2011 and 2015. "Goonbody Embodiment, Gangland Landscape, Yellow Tape Activities, that Fiend Tryna Get His Corsica Back Mozzy. The raw track definitely sounds like it could have come off any of those tapes, with the Sacramento rapper delivering hookless, no-bullshit raps over a minimal, distinctly Bay Area-inspired beat.
Gangland Landlord will be the rapper's first full-length solo project since last summer's 1 Up Top Ahk, an album released through Mozzy Records and Empire Distribution that preserved Mozzy's unique appeal while he challenged himself to widen his repertoire of styles, collaborators and song structures. In March, he shared the Spiritual Conversations EP, which featured guests like Jay Rock, YFN Lucci, and Rayven Justice. He also recently appeared on YG's third studio album Stay Dangerous.
Gangland Landlord is out October 5th, according to Fader.
